Volunteers at Cera Cycloan are trained to a high standard in Bicycle Mechanics, Restorative Practice and the five ways to wellbeing. Volunteers can gain a varied role which may include driving our company vehicle, supporting facilitation of community events, supporting young learners which can lead to employment if we have a role available. Any Volunteer would certainly build there portfolio / CV or if retired would access a supported voluntary role which is empowering, knowledgable, varied and interesting. Some of our current Volunteers who have been with us for years are professional people who we also gain knowledge from for example some are former scientists, former engineers or are from other professional feilds.

Role

We are currently looking for two Volunteers to fullfill this role simply because two of our previous volunteers are now employed by us. Any prospective volunteers will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check which we pay for in full. Our Volunteers start by learning cycle mechanics, this also helps us to get to know each other whilst learning and acheiving. Once the cycle mechanics training has been concluded we will then start to train our volunteers in restorative practice, this also involves supporting students guiding them through our cycle mechanic curriculum which again is fully supported by our full time members of staff.

Essential Skills: Patient, Understanding, open minded, Willing to learn, good listener, mechanically minded

Desirable.... Driving Licence , Professional background, Qualification in Cycle mechanic's, Qualification in restorative practice.
