Volunteer for social activity group

Our activity groups bring people together aged 75+ to help reduce loneliness, social isolation. Re-engage has teamed up with Outside the box in Bramhall for 2 hours once a month. Our volunteers will engage with older people through chat and play board games, of which they are lots to choose from! The group will consist of 6-10 older people.

Role

To become a volunteer/activity group lead, you will need:

Attend a online volunteer group induction
complete an ID check
Provide a reference
complete online volunteer training.

Tasks include:
Welcoming older people to the activity group and making them feel comfortable.
Following guidance in the online volunteer training so the activity groups are safe, enjoyable, appropriate and in line with our charitable aims.
Reporting any concerns to the group activity coordinator.

Since 1965 Re-engage has focused compassionately on providing a vital personal link to eradicate the loneliness of older people. Our aim is to bring generations together to reduce loneliness and social isolation amongst older people and bring generations together in friendship and shared experiences. Re-engage is one of the few charities solely committed to tackling the issue of loneliness and social isolation affecting people 75+ by helping them to re-engage through regular social contact through our tea parties, activity groups, call and rainbow call companions. We simply couldn't do what we do without the amazing support of our volunteers across the UK.
