Our volunteers have mentors to train you in radio production and you will participate in our regular shows - monthly for Mandarin and Cantonese speakers or quarterly for English speakers.
We provide induction to our organisation which includes our aims and the work we engage in. You will receive travel expenses if you use public transport when you attend for training and broadcasting.
You will be joining a group of committed and dedicated volunteers who are keen to promote multiculturalism within our communities. We host an annual Chinese New Year event and social gatherings throughout the year.
The training you will receive to enable you to become radio presenters are tranferrable skills into employment. If you are keen to become a radio presenter and learn about radio broadcasting or are interested infinding out more about Chinese culture, please volunteer with us Dragons Voice CIC

Organisation description:

We produce radio shows on a regular basis - twice a month and are managed totally by volunteers. We started out as an unincorporated community group before registering as a CIC in Aug 2022. Our group has gained recognition for our work and was awarded the Bronze in the Speech and Journalism category from the Community Radio Awards (CRA) 2021 and Gold in the Innovations category from CRA in 2022. We offer training in radio production to ensure our volunteers understand the legal aspects and are compliant with OfCom regulations. We help presenters to structure each "show", make jingles for shows/projects and learn skills that are transferable to employment like communication, IT skills, problem-solving using a creative medium. WE offer social activities as a group and when funding allows, traditional Chinese art sessions
