Role

Help required to deliver a lunch club in a SEND school, provide opportunities for fun, interaction, play, communication and expression.

The role involves:

• To provide support to the staff team who lead on the delivery of daily lunch clubs, assist in setting up for sessions, utilising and developing resources, tidying up and closing down after sessions and helping to create a safe, supportive and student led environment.
• Work as part of a team alongside staff to engage with students where directed to, listen to and follow staff input and lead in terms of their knowledge of the students, likes and dislikes and how the student transitions between tasks, spaces and demands in the life skills classrooms.
• Build rapport and familiarity with students and understanding of the students, communication pathways, the role requires flexibility and adaptability, often in the moment and to be a good team player, looking for ways of making a difference.
• To work safely, inclusively and in person centred ways to support the children and young people’s participation, valuing individuality, choice, identity and culture.
• Assist with the closing down of a session, putting equipment away and contribute towards the debrief about the session with our staff team
