Front of house Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers for various roles across all 3 of our Foodbanks. We need volunteers to be flexible. You will be required to undergo training that will enhance the services that we provide to our clients, therefore a willingness to learn is a must. We also require flexibility covering shifts where there is a shortfall of volunteers at other locations. You will be dealing with clients in a face to face setting. You must be friendly and approachable. Occasionally we do have to deal with difficult clients so you must be assertive and able to deal with difficult or sensitive situations. Ideally you would be computer literate or be willing to undergo training to use our referral system and also capture essential information. We refer and signpost to other agencies so it is important to read up on the resources file that we keep so that we can assist our clients even further. It is a requirement to keep the front of house area clean and tidy in quieter moments and help out in other areas of the foodbank where necessary.
