What will you be doing? In this role, you will be a vital part of our committee, and help us deliver our aims of improving our local parks to become more inclusive for all our park users. There is flexibility to also assist with occasional events, fundraising and improvements. If you think the person specification below sounds like you, then please get in touch. Responsibilities: • Organising our in-person quarterly committee meetings and other occasional online meetings with our stakeholders. • Liaise with the Chairperson to plan and arrange meeting dates and produce agendas and printouts. • Share meeting notices on our Facebook page. • Take minutes at tri-monthly meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes to our members/ stakeholders. • Must accurately record actions and decisions and follow up on the completion of assigned actions in a timely manner. • Liaise with committee members and volunteers to help organise occasional events, such as our annual Easter Egg Hunt. • Regularly check the committee’s email and pass on/deal with questions and queries as appropriate. • Adding new members to our email contacts database. • Maintain a list of volunteers adhering to GPPR rules. • Document/policy creation and maintenance for compliance/governance as well as producing other required documents. • Must be happy to hold the committee accountable in terms of good governance and provide guidance when necessary. • Liaise, produce and organise with the committee documents for printing, delivery and online promotion when required as well as arranging photocopying/collation of annual AGM papers/reports.

Role

• Able to commit to 2 hours a week to this role. • Ability to work independently, and to take ownership and lead in this role. • You will be reliable, honest, and trustworthy. • Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills. • Great at record keeping and managing a database. • Ability to create documents/policies creation, for good governance and produce other helpful documents when required. • Enjoy working as part of a small team but is also a self-starter.

Knowledge and experience of voluntary work in the charity sector would be an advantage, but we are happy to support anyone who has never done a role like this and would like a new challenge. Ability to build and develop good and supportive working relationships with the committee and our members.
